Focus: The focus of this Self Help article is to provide you information and steps in order to change the starting proposal number and proposal number format.

Please note: By default the starting proposal number is #2000 and the default format is #XXX. This can be modified for your specific needs.

A. Proposal Number – When you create a proposal, it is auto-assigned a number. This number is generated from this field. So, if you use 2000 for this field, your following proposals would be 2001, 2002, 2003, etc…
B. Proposal Number Format –By default, the Quote Roller system uses #XXX … XXX = the number of the proposal. This could be configured to something like this A-XXX-B, and this would equal A-001-B, etc… This is a useful option if you are connected with a CRM or another management system.

Step 1:  Setting your default proposal number and proposal number format. Go to Settings > Company, scroll all the way down you will have the two options. Be sure to click on the orange “Save” button to save these changes.
