Base Integration with Quote Roller

The focus of this document is to provide you steps on how to integrate Quote Roller into your Base account.

What does the integration do? When enabled, you’ll be able to create new quotes directly from a deal and then track the status and value of the quote from Base.

Please note: In order to use this integration, you will need a Base “Starter, Professional or Enterprise Plan and any Quote Roller account. Base also created this Integration. Please contact Base support and ask them to enable the Quote Roller integration on your Base account. If you have any questions about your Base account and if the following steps are not working for you. Please review this Base Support Article.  

Step 1: Login into your Base account,

Step 2: On the upper right, click on the gear icon and then click on Settings, then under Tools, click on “Integrations”, then click on “Enable” Quote Roller

Step 3: Login into your Quote Roller or account and then provide “Access for Base CRM”. Click “Authorize”

Step 4:  Match the users in your Base Account to the users in your Quote Roller Account by dragging and dropping each user’s name. If everyone in your Base account is also a user in Quote Roller, you’ll match each name. For example, you’d drag Tyler Black to Tyler Black. However, if the team using Base is NOT the team who will be using Quote Roller, drag each Base user to the Quote Roller user they would be associated with. It’s not uncommon to have multiple sales reps associated to one Quote Roller user acting as the billing department. Click Done

A. After you matched your Base users with your Quote Roller Users,  you can update these connections at any time by going to Settings > Integrations > Quote Roller > Edit Users.

Step 5: Creating a Quote in Base
A. Using Base, in the Sales Pipeline section, click on “+Deal” Enter in the name of the deal, add a contact. Additional Options include Value, Source. Click Add

B. Now you will see the Deal, click on the name of the deal.
C. Here you will be in the Deal information screen. Over on the right, you will see the “Quotes Section” Click on the +

D. Next, Quote Roller will ask to verify or update the “Project Name” and the contact. Click “Create Draft in Quote Roller.”
E. A Quote is automatically generated in Quote Roller. The status will update in Base anytime the Quote’s status is updated in Quote Roller. Once you add a value to the Quote, you’ll see this reflected in Base along with which Quote Roller user is managing this Quote.
F. The system will process the request, now you can click on the name of the deal, this will bring you to the Quote Roller account.
G. Once you are in the Quote Roller system with proposal. Click on “edit” to start the process of creating the proposal.

Step 6: Tracking progress of the Quote Roller Proposal in Base.
A. The integration will also track the status of the proposal, including Sent, Accepted and Declined.
