How to set an expiration date and expiration email reminder?

Focus: The focus of this Self Help article is to provide you information and steps in order to set an expiration date and expiration reminder email for your proposals.

Please note:  If you use the expiration, the defaulted number of days is thirty, however you can change this per proposal or a global setting. (Step 4). You can also configure the emails is sent out, if you use the expiration email reminder. Expiration date works like this. Lets say you have this setup for Jan 1st, on Jan 2nd, the proposal will be expired.

Step 1: Create or edit an existing proposal.  Go to Step 5 finalize. On the left, under Proposal options, you will have an option for “proposal expiration date”. Click on the slider button to the “ON” position. Set your expiration date.

Step 2: If you would like to enable the expiration reminder, click on the slider button to the “ON” position and make sure to save your changes.

Step 3: If you would like to change the email that gets sent out for the Expiration email. Click on Settings > Labels  & Emails > Emails, scroll down and you will see Proposal Expiration email. Make sure to click Save.

Step 4: Setting the default number of days for the “Expiration date option”. Go To settings > Company > Scroll down and you will see the option “Default Proposal, Length in Days”. Set your number and click Save.
